In the early days of the Russian-Ukrainian war Kharkiv, the country’s second largest city, was turned into a warzone. On one side of the battlefield was the invading Russian army, on the other side, the defending Ukrainians, and caught in between them, was a zoo called Feldman Ecopark.

Drawing from first-hand footage, Award-winning filmmaker Joshua Zeman’s Checkpoint Zoo showcases a story of human compassion, bravery, and sacrifice during Ukraine’s darkest hours. shining a light on the best of humanity when it is all too easy to focus on the worst.

Mass Rally & March: 12 Years of Russia’s War Against Ukraine

Virtual Pysanka Demonstration

Learn how to create Delft-inspired pysanky eggs. We will use various shades of blue and vinegar etching to create these blue and white designs inspired by the renowned hand painted Dutch earthenware designs.

Audiences nationwide are invited to experience an enchanting new chapter of Ukrainian folklore as “Mavka. The True Myth” arrives on the big screen. Inspired by authentic legends and created by the team behind the acclaimed animated film “Mavka. The Forest Song,” this new story reveals a darker, deeper, and more realistic side of the Mavka myth.

Set in the ancient forests of Ukraine during the mystical Rusalka Week, the film follows a group of biology students on a research expedition who ignore local warnings. Amid this eerie landscape, Mavka and Lukyan meet—sparking a love story that must withstand the powerful, shadowed forces of the forest nymphs.

Shaped by parallel histories of struggle, resilience, and cultural pride, Ireland and Ukraine share deep affinities and a longstanding respect for one another’s traditions.

This special collaboration will honor Irish and Ukrainian culture, music, storytelling, and community. Join us for a joyful, alcohol-free, and inclusive celebration!

Fish Fry Dinner – 13th Annual Community Event

The community is invited to attend the 13th Annual Fish Fry Dinner, hosted by the Ukrainian American Youth Association. This beloved tradition brings families and friends together for an evening of great food and warm community spirit.

Guests can enjoy a $20 platter featuring fried fish, a roll, coleslaw, corn, potato chips, tea or coffee, and dessert. Additional items include a $5 side of fries and $10 per dozen frozen pierogies.
